Parmigiano, Balsamic, Prosciutto & Ferrari Full-Day Tour

Discover the flavors and legends that have made Emilia-Romagna famous around the world on a full-day journey through its Food and Motor Valley.

Your driver will pick you up from your accommodation in Bologna, Modena or Florence, or from our designated meeting point in Bologna city center. From there, sit back and enjoy a day dedicated to some of the region’s greatest icons: Parmigiano Reggiano, Traditional Balsamic Vinegar of Modena, Italian prosciutto and Ferrari.

Discover How Parmigiano Reggiano Is Made

Your first food experience takes you inside a working Parmigiano Reggiano dairy, where you will discover how one of Italy’s most famous cheeses is produced following traditions passed down through generations.

During the guided visit, follow the journey from fresh milk and curdling in the characteristic copper vats to salting and the long aging process. One of the highlights is stepping inside the impressive aging room, where thousands of wheels of Parmigiano Reggiano rest on towering wooden shelves — a true “cheese cathedral.”

The visit ends, of course, with a tasting of Parmigiano Reggiano at different stages of aging.

Traditional Balsamic Vinegar of Modena

Continue into the Modena countryside to visit a traditional acetaia, where you will discover the fascinating world behind one of the region’s most precious products: Traditional Balsamic Vinegar of Modena.

Learn about the slow aging process, the different wooden barrels and the traditions that local families have preserved for generations. At the end of the guided visit, you will taste different balsamic products and discover just how different authentic traditional balsamic vinegar can be from the product commonly found in supermarkets.

Your experience at the acetaia also includes a light lunch featuring local specialties and gastronomic pairings with balsamic vinegar. Please note that this is a food-tasting lunch designed around local products and does not include a traditional main course.

Enter the World of Ferrari

Food is only half of what makes this part of Italy famous. Emilia-Romagna is also the heart of Italy’s legendary Motor Valley.

In Maranello, enjoy free time to explore the Ferrari Museum and enter the world of the Prancing Horse. Discover iconic cars, Formula 1 history, technological innovation and the story behind one of the most recognizable Italian names in the world.

The museum visit is self-guided, allowing you to explore the exhibitions at your own pace.

Visit a Traditional Prosciutto Producer

The final gastronomic experience of the day takes you behind the scenes of prosciutto production.

Your guided visit begins with an introduction to the history and traditions behind this famous Italian product before entering the production areas. You will discover how the meat is carefully selected and prepared, learn about the salting process, and visit the temperature-controlled rooms where time, air and experience transform a few simple ingredients into prosciutto.

The visit concludes with a tasting — the perfect final flavor of your journey through Emilia-Romagna.

At the end of the experience, relax on the drive back after a full day combining local traditions, authentic flavors and the unmistakable passion for motors that defines our region.

Please note: The order of the visits may change depending on production schedules and operational requirements. All food producers included in the tour are working facilities, so the production stages taking place during your visit may vary. For this reason, we cannot guarantee which specific parts of the production process will be operating or visible on the day of the tour.
