First stop: a guided tour of a cheese factory, where you'll witness the artistry behind producing aged Parmigiano Reggiano cheese. From curdling to salting and final aging in wheel cathedrals, you'll be a privileged observer of this iconic culinary masterpiece.
Next, a local winery, where you'll take a guided tour to uncover the nuances of Lambrusco, a red sparkling wine hailing from northern Italy.
Next, explore the secrets of "black gold" at an Acetaia, where the traditional balsamic vinegar of Modena is crafted. Your guided tour unveils the intricate production process, culminating in a tasting of this precious elixir. Enjoy a light lunch, where you could explore the best gastronomic pairing, some of the inclusions are: fresh ricotta and aged Parmesan cheese, freshly baked bread with olive oil, home-made cake, local wine and water.

The tour is available in 2 options:

– Pickup from hotel in Bologna city center / train station, starting time 08:45 am

The pickup will be from your hotel in Bologna or the nearest point, when it is not possible to reach the place you stay in by car. The exact pickup time will be communicated after the tour confirmation. If you arrive by train, please contact us before booking your train, as we could advise on the best suitable arrival time. Please be on time for your scheduled pickup, as we are unable to accommodate late arrivals. No refunds will be possible in such instances.

– Pickup from a meeting point in Piazza XX Settembre, starting time 08:50 am

Pickup from P.za XX Settembre, in the square in front of NH De La Gare hotel, just a 5-minute walk from Bologna central train station. The van leaves at 08:55 am, and will not wait for late comers. If you arrive late to the meeting point because of train or other transportation delays, we won’t be able to accommodate you, to send a refund or to reschedule the tour to another day. We kindly suggest planning extra time for your journey to avoid any issues.
